I much prefer the Maori word "Aroha" to describe feelings of love and affection; it just feels better off the tongue and has an all-encompassing meaning. It relates to all of the five senses, the ego, the intellect, and is more expansive than just one word. "Aroha" can also be thought of as the breath of life and the creative force of the spirit; it assumes that the universe is bounteous and it seeks to draw out the best in people. "Aroha" rebuffs greed, aggression and insensitivity - instead galvanising actions that are munificent.
This particular representation of "Aroha', I crafted from silver and various colours of gold. It features a fob-style handmade chain, from which the pendant can be removed. It is a generously proportioned piece and deserves to be seen.
